Welcome to the ‘Valley of Glaciers’, hosting one of the most spectacular trails in Nepal. In such proximity to the capital city of Kathmandu, no one expects a glimpse of the vault of Heaven - yet here it is! A majestic valley awaits sensuous exploration on the banks of Bhote Kosi River; a 360° bird's eye view unveils snow-clad mountains on every side, taking you into a romantic experience where one feels like flying between the clouds. Its presence in the Tibetan region is why it’s globally prominent; its scenic beauty and cultural abundance motivate joyful souls to visit it repeatedly! But what’s so special about Langtang Gosaikunda Trek?
Langtang Valley sits in the shadow of Heaven-kissing peaks, a place bounded by the snowy desert of Tibet to the north and dove white mountains to the south. The land belongs to the guardians of the mountains, the Sherpa, Tamang, and Lamas, who will accompany you through the captivating yak pastures and wonder woodlands with mystified waterfalls, to reach the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. Once at the lake, the spiritual aura and tranquil ambiance, combined with alpinist beauty, is an escapade beyond explanation. The Gosaikunda Trek is an additional add-on adventure to Langtang Trek for those who want to spend a little more time in the lap of the Himalayas. Moreover, the trail is easier to access than the routes of the Everest Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Circuit Treks. The ascent will be guided by awe-inspiring sights of Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Kimshung (6,781m), and Langshisha Ri (6,370m), as you trek through Himalayan dwelling tribes, whose thousand years presence amidst ostentatious mountains has its very own culture to explore.
The outpouring Langtang River’s melody will sing into your ears while you navigate the alpine forest. Don’t turn your eyes away if you happen to see a Red Panda clinging on to the bamboo; they’re exceptionally rare and may pull out a great acrobatic move just for you!
The owners and staff of Sherpa Spirit Treks have extensive experience hosting Nepal trekking tours of various grades - from easy to moderate, as well as challenging treks and expeditions - at the right time of the year, in the right place for the right people. We can’t wait to guide you!
